- How can I pay for my goods?
- Is the payment I make secure?
There are several ways to pay for the items featured on
our http://www.egardencentre.co.uk:
Most people will probably pay via the secure credit/debit
card service featured on our web site. We accept a range of credit/debit
cards through our web site: Visa, MasterCard, Switch, Solo, Visa Electron,
Delta and JCB Diners Card.
If you do not want to pay through our web site, then you
can ring our sales hotline and pay via any of the cards listed above. Be
sure to have all your card details to hand as we will require them to
process your card.
You may also pay by fax. Simply fax your order through to
us with full
details of your required item and your credit/debit card.
Payment can also be made by post. Simply post your full
credit card details as well as your order requirement to us.
Lastly, you may also pay us by cheque. This can be sent to
us by post along with full details of your required item. Unfortunately, due
to the often large sums of money involved in our
transactions, we can not ship any item to you until your cheque has cleared.
This can take up to 5 working days after we receive your cheque.
In short, yes. We strive to make sure that any payment
made to us is dealt with in a safe and proper way. Our online payment
systems are protected by 128 Bit SSL encryption so that no one other than
yourself can access the information you enter into the credit/debit card
details screen during check out.
Also, in relation to phone or fax orders etc, we do not
store you credit/debit card details after we have charged your card. So you
can be safe in the knowledge that there won't be any hard copies of your
card details lying around anywhere.
We also operate a policy of only delivering items to the
credit/debit card holders address. This is to help reduce fraud by way
of ordering items on stolen card details and having them shipped to a bogus
"drop off" address. We are aware that this is not always an ideal situation,
but we feel it is the best way of protecting ourselves and our customers
against such threats.
Unfortunately, no system is 100% full-proof. However, the
chances of anyone hacking into our system or indeed Worldpay's is extremely
remote, and unfortunately most online fraud is carried out by way of stolen
credit cards from wallets etc etc. We ask that you seek information on your
card security from your issuing bank. Many banks operate free insurance for
online transactions etc, which may be of interest to you.
